Crus
CRUS, DEFINED!!
What is a Cru?
A CRU--short for CIVILIAN RESISTANCE UNIT--is a group of PASSIONATE, DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS (or average joes who feel like Doing Something) who are looking to COMBAT our ALIEN INVADERS!
Do YOU want to FIGHT some ALIENS? Sign up for YOUR Cru TODAY!about crus
- Crus are teams of one or more character/s designed to lead as resistance units against the Gru! These groups are member-formed, and there is no limit on how many Crus there can be. It's up to you whether your character joins any Crus!
- Crus revolve their core cause around a specific purpose; this purpose can have as much or as little relation or level of specificity as you prefer! Whether you have a Cru whose sole goal is alien-fighting and defending humanity, or a Cru who are looking to just preserve human culture in keeping the traditional process of making donuts alive and well, they’re both a perfectly viable basis for forming Crus.
- So long as a Cru is--in some way, no matter how convoluted--contributing to resisting the Gru, they are an eligible Cru.
- In AWAFL, Crus serve as the primary combatant of the Gru, for characters who are looking to combat them. Their alignment outside of this is up to the designation of that particular Cru (ex, if your Cru is in favor of or aligned with the local government, or if they are against the local government also).
- Some Crus are even kept hidden--meaning, members of those Crus have not revealed they are members, whether that Cru keeps their members under secret identities, or whether that secret Cru is unknown even to the public…
- Most Crus are public, though, and among the not-as-inclined, are often very casual in nature.
how crus work
- Crus can be made up of a minimum of one person, or up to a maximum of 18.
- Crus come in two forms OOC: Public Crus, and Private Crus. Public Crus mean that any member can ask to have their character join at any time, so long as they still have room and are accepting members--whereas Private Crus either are already full, invite-only, or are not looking to add in any more members.
- Public Crus are allowed to become Private Crus, and vise-versa, at any time.
- Crus also have the option to have it that a character can only be invited to the Cru in-character if they want! Furthermore, Crus are open to set their own way for people to join them (ooc or ic).
- Characters should only be in up to 2 Crus at a time, but you can put them in more if it works for their character! Try not to take on more than you/they can handle.
- Any character, regardless of age, occupation, etc, can form or join a Cru.
- Crus can have (or not have) their own policies, logos, hideouts, uniforms/dress codes, marketing, funding--whatever you can think of. The more fleshed out a Cru is, the better! Of course, they can also be perfectly simple, too, especially if their core concepts are simple.
- Characters can join, leave, and/or form Crus as they please.
