PERSONALITY
[ + Creative || + Bold || + Diligent || + Helpful ]

Shane has always been an energetic and playful person since he was young. The one to act first and ask questions later. He loves games and can often get a bit carried away with them, especially if it’s an rpg. This is when he tends to give his characters a background and storyline and he ends up playing the game while taking on their persona. Though this is also why he is fun to play DnD or cosplay with. Because of his animated and lively presence, Shane himself finds it easy to interact with most people but at the same time others may find him annoying. He understand why some people don’t like him and he tries to ignore it but it’s pretty easy to tell when he’s not doing great. He has a hard time hiding his emotions, even while working, though he is trying to fix that.
When working Shane is a lot quieter. He tends to focus on doing his job and getting things done in a timely manner. He’s still easy to approach and talk to at this time, though his speech isn’t as animated as it would be if he weren’t working. It’s also during this time when Shane is the most stressed. Having to deal with rude customers, explaining the same thing more than a few times, long shifts … all of it tires him out, but it’s what he’s good at and he needs the money. Though no matter how tired or stressed he may be, if another is worse off than him, he will push aside his own well-being to help.

PERSONAL HISTORY
On a rainy May morning little Shane was born. His mother Linda, though weary from labor and birthing, smiled down at her little bundle. Who would have thought she would finally get the son she desperately wanted. His father Roland, also a bit tired, smiled as well. As Linda rested, Shane was introduced to his 2 older sisters, Marianne (10) and Gwendelyn (12). They were probably more excited to meet him than either parent. Despite the rain that poured, Linda and Roland added this day as one of the best in their lives, alongside their daughters births.
As Shane grew up, his sisters spoiled him. They bought him a lot of comics and superhero stuff which sparked his interest. He began saving the world from the evil toilet monster early on. Whether it was cleaning up his toys or helping mom and dad, Shane loved to help. Even at school he tried to be the best hero he could. This often lead him to have many parent teacher meetings along with many bruises. They tried to listen and understand him, but it was growing harder and harder to with each visit. His stories got more outrageous with each visit and it was getting to be too much for them. They felt as though their son was changing, and they couldn't do anything about it. That, however, didn't stop them from trying.
Growing worried for his safety they decided to try and get rid of this hero complex he had developed. His comics and toys were donated, little by little so he wouldn't notice right away, and they tried to control the shows he watched, though that wasn’t always possible. They still allowed him to dress up for Halloween, but unless it was a costume party they limited how much superhero content he consumed. This however didn't stop Shane's sisters from sneaking him a toy or movie every now and then. He was still young, so they wanted him to have fun and he did.
Eventually as Shane got older he grew out of his ‘need’ to save everyone and the world but he still enjoyed comics, games and dressing up. His parents were happy with how he grew and eventually he graduated high school with no problems. Shane didn't know what he wanted to do with his life just yet so he only took basic classes in college. After that he moved out of parents home and now rents an apartment in Acacia. His sisters live farther, but he still keeps in touch with them.
Years passed while Shane worked at the cafe, doing the same thing he usually did. The same rowdy college kids came in and out, everything was the same … that is, until one day. Those same rowdy college kids came in but this time they were frantic and yelling about aliens. Shanes eyes sparkled with delight as he raced outside. They were right, aliens! Was this real? He didn’t know what was going on but he was excited to see where things would go.
EXTRAS
★ Comics decorate most of his apartment in neat shelves, along with games and movies.
★ He knows how to sew and does his own cosplays. Though there are some times when he buys them instead.
★ As much as Shane loves superheroes and tries to be ‘heroic’, you will find he has more merchandise of villains.
