■ His Grandparents. They’ve taken care of Kouki ever since he was tiny, and he’s grateful for that.

■ Losing. Self-explanatory.
■ Bullies. As ironic as it sounds, Kouki hates people who step on others to make themselves look cool. If you’re so capable, then fucking do it yourself instead of making others feel bad, ‘kay?
■ Bad internet. Please. A 0.00001 sec lag could mean a missed kill. No thank you.
■ Rage quitters. So you can’t do it just because you’re too weak? Excuses. Stop being such a wuss.
■ The concept of death. Ironically, Kouki does not like thinking about death, especially when his grandparents are of such an old age. He doesn’t mind virtual deaths as much (it still sucks, though at least you get to respawn), but he avoids the topic when it’s in an IRL context.

Kouki is a very emotional person: his mood can be described as a rollercoaster ride. He can get angry or frustrated quite easily; but at the same time, it is very easy to get him excited. He is very impulsive and acts before he thinks, leading up to quite a lot of bad decisions, but honestly? It’s just his way of making the best out of his life. Kouki lives for the thrill of the moment, often acting when he is the most motivated and fueled to kick-start and complete a task. Chances are, if something sounds fun and enticing, he’d be up for it!
A lot of people would describe him as a “nice” troublemaker - Kouki often picks fights on people for the smallest reasons (although usually for fun and entertainment rather than actual cause), though he is still learning how to use words instead of his fists. He swears a lot and is quite honest about what he wants or how he feels, sometimes throwing people off with how blunt he might be. Some people may find him comfortable to get along with, as Kouki tends to speak his mind no matter what the situation and circumstance.
Occasionally, Kouki likes teasing and laughing at others, and doesn’t mind being treated like that in return - but he would most definitely come after your ass if you hurt his friends or family even by the slightest bit.
BIOGRAPHY
- Single son of Daichi & Chizu Himura. His parents were too busy to take care of even their single son, let alone giving birth to more.
- Moved into Phlox to his grandparents’ (Mother’s side) when he was 5, lived in Printy ever since.
- Started YouTube when he was 15. His career started to peak at the age of 18, where he made use of the opportunity and started streaming on twitch as well.
- Got his own flat in Larkspur at the age of 23.
PERSONAL HISTORY
For as long as Kouki could remember, he had spent most of his childhood in the small town of Phlox. His parents were too busy to take care of him, and with the idea that America had “better education” in mind, they entrusted their child to his grandparents. The couple was old, but they showered their grandson with as much love as they could, and taught him many morals and values which they thought were important in life. And Kouki had kept them close to his heart.
At first Printy was a brand new playground to Kouki - the culture, the people, and the way everything worked was so different! His curiosity had set him off quite a lot of adventures - and although often he brought home cuts and bruises, his grandparents were glad that their grandson was energetic and active. That’s how children should be after all!
However, it was soon apparent that Kouki wasn’t just energetic. He started causing trouble in school, often picking fights with people whenever things didn’t sit well with him. “They were bullying my friend!” he’d say. Kouki’s grades were also at the bottom of the class, doing the bare minimum to pass his classes, often spending most of his time playing games both online and offline, rather than studying. His teachers frowned upon his behavior, but his grandparents were just glad that his heart was in the right place, and that Kouki’s energy hadn’t die down.
As Kouki neared his final years of highschool, it struck him that he had no clue what he wanted to do in life. All he liked were games, and with the grades that he had, college was clearly out of the question. It took him awhile to find something that worked for him, but he eventually did. He decided to give these “Let’s play” videos a try - besides, it’s just recording what he usually did anyway, right?
What Kouki didn’t know was that the internet was hungry for gamers like him. He wasn’t an especially skilled person, but his fiery attitude and the way he never really “rage quitted” on his games happened to entertain quite the large crowd. His chivalrous attitude and the way he treated all game characters with respect had charmed thousands. It wasn’t long before he had a reputable following on both YouTube and Twitch, good enough for him to sustain a living.
To avoid bothering his grandparents with his wrecked sleeping schedule and constant screaming, Kouki eventually moved out to Larkspur to pursue his career full time. He still cared a lot for his grandparents, so he often went home to visit them. When the Gru came, Kouki didn’t pay much attention - his mindspace was too occupied by the new games that were coming out. It was only when his grandma mentioned it one evening when he learnt about them.
“Kou, dearie, have you seen the news on aliens arriving?”
“... the wHAT!?!”

- His internet alias is KOUKISnSCREAM. Don’t judge, he’s had it since he was 13.
- He has a sweet tooth - something that developed over the years. Sugar seemed to give him the immediate midnight energy boosts he needed.
- Visits his grandparents at least two times a month.Usually only stays for a meal, but sometimes overnight if it’s late.
