LIKES
- Art. Even though she has little to no idea about composition, theory of color, values and so on, she enjoys looking at pieces of art from other people, specially reading the little notes that authors leave next to their works.
- Audiobooks. She doesn't have the dedication to sit through physical books, so she has opted for audio ones. It's very convenient to listen while she's drawing in her free time.
- Coffee. Not only because it keeps her going without being tired, but because she genuinely enjoys the flavor and aroma of it. Coffee is one of the things she allows herself to splurge on.
- Cats. Cats are fantastic, they have dignity, they clean themselves, can hunt their own food too? An also they mind their own business--but they’re good for cuddles too? Beautiful pets. She loves cats, wow.
- Colombian and Lebanese food. She has never been to the countries, but she knows that's where her roots are, so it has a special place in her heart. She's very picky of these cuisines though, expects nothing but authentic stuff.
DISLIKES
- Relying on others. Oh, how happy she would be if she could do everything by herself. Unfortunately there are such things as teamwork and delegating work to others.
- Wasting time. Staying in line for too long, listening to something that she knows won’t get anywhere, being stuck in traffic because of the influence of the Gru... Staying still is stressful.
- Most dogs. People don’t know how to train them anymore, plus, they smell bad, jump on you, destroy your stuff, make your clothes dirty, and yip and bark so loud!
- People who don’t have any obligations, people who haven’t worked one day of their life, people who don’t take life seriously and rub it on her face. It must be nice to be lazy and useless and unmotivated all the time and never sweat it! She can’t relate.
- The disrespect of family members. While she ignores the circumstances of other people’s life, she becomes tense when she sees someone being rude to their family.
PERSONALITY
Anastasia is defined by her integrity, practical logic, and tireless dedication to her duties. She seeks for stability and reliability—honest and direct, and despises emotional manipulation and mind games, and even more she dislikes lies that try to make you feel better. Even if the truth hurts, she finds it much easier to manage her personal life with honesty (even if, at her job, she's supposed to be deceitful at times). But even though she comes off as a ladder-climbing heartless workaholic, Anastasia lacks any malign intentions behind her acts. More often than not, she’s debating on morally grey areas, or is put on a spot because of her employer’s moral code. While she’s not centered around making money, those who are close to Anastasia would say that she’s a supportive and level headed person, caring of her friends, but bossy like a nagging mother.
She enjoys having responsibilities and takes pride in the work she does, and when she’s nose diving into her projects, she’s an unstoppable juggernaut. She doesn’t hold back when it comes to completing her obligations with accuracy and patience. Anastasia is loyal and committed to those who have earned her trust, both in her work and personal life, and her word is an unbreakable promise because integrity means everything to her. Despite her line of work, she's not one to hold malign thoughts or wish for the harm of others, and when she's bound by her job to make unethical choices, there's an underlying sense of guilt and remorse that she doesn't speak of.
She’s willing to put herself through strain and stress for the sake of delivering the results she promised. Being an useful, stellar member of the engines of society is what keeps her going. She’s the no-nonsense type, and when she makes a decision, she will expect everyone under her command to get a hold of the situation and take immediate action, just as she would. Anastasia often believes that she is the only person who can finish projects correctly.
Since she loads herself with extra work and extra responsibility, there comes a tipping point where she can't deliver results. Given that she gave herself all of those tasks, she believes that the responsibility for that failure is hers alone to deal with, and then, these frustrations are kept hidden under her skin. Despite the eventual shortcomings, she's able to keep her feet on the ground and make rational choices--but that’s only for a while. After that idealistic time, during which she’s telling herself that things are okay and that she is not upset, Anastasia bursts and explodes. She snaps after keeping issues under her skin for a long time, and the victims of her anger tend to be employees she’s bossing around, but when she has the luck of being alone, she loses herself in a puddle of tears to let it all out. It’s as if, ever since she moved away from the west coast, she lacks any character or personality besides her success and ocasional hobby. She dislikes spending time on things if she won't get anything out of them, rejects self-help books, mocks therapists, and is the owner of a perpetual scowl. Ultimately, she’s in denial of many things, her vulnerability, her need to seek out for help, and the fact that she’s overworking herself.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Despite being and uptown workaholic girl, Anastasia knows that family comes first, and that she would be nothing without her parents.
Anastasia Villanueva was born into a low income family of South American immigrants, who had to work two jobs to make sure that their daughter could go to a private school. They migrated to the states chasing the American dream, but such a fatuous dream was meant for their child. The couple overworked themselves to ensure that she’d get the best education possible, so she could achieve the goals that they could not.
Although her early childhood was full of tantrums and complaints about the absence of her parents --when one was at home, the other wasn’t-- with the years, Anastasia grew the conscience that what they were doing was all for her future’s sake. Overcome with a childish sense of maturity, she resolved that the best thing she could do was doing what they asked of her: to study, to prepare herself, to make them happy.
Her determination despite her humble origins, in addition to her willingness to help anyone in need, were a charm that earned her many acquaintances from high class circles, including the Bell twins, heiresses of Bell Pharmaceuticals. She began to do favors to people, hoping to make genuine friendships with them this way--and if she couldn’t become their friend, she could at least be seen in a positive light by them. Such resolve worked wonders, and Anastasia was the ideal child any parent could ask for: at home, she prepared her own meals and helped around with chores when their parents were burned out from work, and in addition to that, she kept good grades at school, bringing home reports full of A’s that made her parents feel that their sleepless nights were worth it.
She was happy when they smiled, and she meant to keep things that way, making sure to put as much effort as they did, so one day she could give the fruits of their efforts back to them, and take them out of poverty.
But there was only so much struggle a young girl could take before falling into a state of burnout. That’s when Anastasia picked up the hobby of doodling and coloring when she was too tired to do anything else. Her art, albeit not significantly good, was relaxing and pleasing. It was an activity with no deadlines and nobody to appease with. Having a hobby, an activity for her and herself only, was liberating, yet she still wanted to share that part of her with her family. Even if she wasn’t good at it, her parents were happy to find her drawings in the fridge, so they developed a way to communicate, and they’d scribble something back to her for when they got back home. Their days felt a little less painstaking after drawing flowers and puppies for eachother.
With a track of good scores, a good circle of acquaintances, owed favors under her sleeve, and the title of student council president in her senior year, Anastasia was set for success at the end of her high school life. Two local universities offered a full scholarship to have her in their campus, but ultimately she chose to attend the same university that some of her high school friends and connections went for. Then, on her first semester, Anastasia promised her parents that she would buy them a house of their own and save up a retirement fund for them.
Although her workload was growing heavier, in between assignments and taking summer jobs for extra money, Anastasia stayed honest and in contact with her parents. They no longer had to worry about her so much, she was already making her way into a successful future! And this was all thanks to them. But she couldn’t let them know about her poor eating habits and workload stress, on top of the stress she developed from taking care of other people’s issues--Which she was fairly good at, but at the cost of her own health. She had less time every day, every week, to make a scribble or two to relax. But amidst the struggle, she persisted, and graduated Cum Laude with a major in business management and a minor in finances.
Upon finishing her majors, it was time to take onto a serious career, but ironically, her dedication to study made her lose sight of developing her own goals. Nonetheless, her ability to organize and lead teams were a few of the skills that she shared with personal assistants, and she had a few people in her circles who would certainly require one in their high, professional lives. Anastasia took her shot, and offered her services to the now only heiress of Bell Pharmaceuticals. Her knowledge about the company, plus her acquaintanceship with the family were only a plus to the job: she would be getting paid for doing favors, now orders, professionally this time. Years later she would be moving in with her employer into a mysterious county in the north east of the states.
It didn’t take her a long time to become passionate about what she did. Anastasia was earning a considerate amount of money by taking care of the tasks that her employer deems unproductive, such as managing the housework staff, setting reminders for appointments, organizing her daily schedule, and so on. In the long run, Anastasia started to lose more insight of her true self, resorting to act less than ethical by her employer’s orders, living under Bell's shadow—but she’s doing all of it for the bigger good, she thinks. She still struggles in morally gray areas, and forgets to take care of herself, but even when the day has been long and draining, she still takes a minute or two to send her parents a little doodle, and she still gets a scribble back from them.
Lately, with the invasion of the Gru, as Lilith Bell acquired an ability that allows her to be more independent, Anastasia has been given less tasks to do. Maybe it’s time for her to simmer down and take a break, and maybe paint a little with that new ability of hers? Or will she keep reaching out to work more and fulfill her sense of worth?
