PERSONALITY
Trick speaks in a direct manner, saying out loud the first thought in his mind without a filter, always trying to get a straight answer from another person. As someone who has experience in jumping from job to job, he’s been working on trying to follow the basic customer service guidelines of ‘politeness’ with a crooked smile to survive a job.
Despite his straightforward personality he is willing to socialise with others, usually with the intention to have fun, meet his needs or prove a point. If anyone tries to go against him in any way, he will stand up for himself and fight if provoked. He tends to be very self-centered but if someone looks past his flaws and proves to him that they enjoy his company, he will care for them and defend them if the situation demands it.
He has the ability to communicate positive energy through dance. If he’s comfortable enough he may spontaneously beat box or snap his fingers while improvising a little dance in any setting, encouraging others around him to join in. He is also not afraid to jump into a group of people and light up the party as long as he is aware that everyone is there to have fun and to forget their problems.
As someone who grew up imitating and learning dance moves, he is attentive and observant, paying attention to the body language of himself and others. As a result, he leaves it to his own judgement on how to interpret the language or if he even pays attention to it at all.
In the end, working diligently to balance his life has made him tired. Often he finds himself slowly losing the fiery passion he had for dance, lacking energy to reserve for patience and sympathy, even for himself. He’s short-tempered and quick to show it, leading to some reckless actions such as ‘accidentally’ spilling coffee onto a customer.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Trick grew up as an only child with his two parents. His parents loved him and he did not miss out on family quality time. He was an energetic, hyperactive child who always brightened up their days. There were times where he would make a mess and get scolded but in the end, he had an ordinary childhood.
One day they went out on one of their usual outings to the city. Trick spotted a dance troupe and watched them in amazement. At that time he knew, he wanted to be like them, he wanted to dance. After seeing them he surrounded himself with music and imitated as many dance moves as possible, to his parents amusement. He would often come to the city where different street performers would dance and spend a lot of time imitating moves from videos on the internet and television.
His dance hobbies persisted throughout the years until high school. Studying in high school was not fun for him and it felt restricted. It made him tired and grouchy, eventually talking back to teachers and ditching class whenever he could. He eventually made two friends who shared his passion. He loved their company because he felt like he could be whoever he wanted around them. They would form their own troupe and participate in every talent show that the school held. They spoke of their future of making their own little dance group global, touring together and making money out of it. But alas, this did not last because both of his friends moved away back to where they came from, Printy County. He managed to keep in contact with them until eventually, they stopped replying to his messages. He had no clue why their online alias’ became inactive. The last thing they mentioned regarding their current location was at Printy County, Larkspur city.
Not paying attention to his classes he thought long and hard about his future. With reckless decision making he decided to drop out of high school and move to Printy in hopes he can come across his fellow dance buddies there. His parents were adamant at first but realising that they could not change his mind, decided to help him out and support him in his decision to make the big move to Printy County. They hoped that the experience of living in another place alone would be invaluable to their son.
He moved to Larkspur City and with his parent’s support, they kick-started him off by renting a small apartment for him. He refused to completely rely on his parents as time went on. Taking the opportunity to seek independence, he would spend his time taking on part times jobs to keep the rent going and fulfill his basic needs. He also took up street dancing in hopes of getting enough exposure to possibly make a living out of it.
Once he established his lifestyle routine in Larkspur city he began the search for his friends. He was hopeful and naïve, believing that finding his friends was a reachable goal, following his ambition to reunite his high school dance troupe. He’d attend night clubs and parties to keep an eye out for his past friends, wholeheartedly believing that they still retain the passion for dance. He even went out of his way to travel to other accessible areas of Printy County hoping to bump into them.
As the years went by, he became a starving dancer desperate for money. The spark in his life was fading as working part-time chipped away at him and the search for his friends constantly reached a dead-end. Time and experience has lead him to believe that his friends possibly lost interest in dance and moved on to other things. As a result, the reality of life’s hardships hit him hard as his passions whittled down to the point of just wanting to pay off his rent.
Sometimes he felt that he needed to move away, return to his parents. But the feeling of independence was strong and since he has established living in Printy County for a long time on his own, he grew an attachment to the place. Continuing to street dance and working part-time, he hopes one day he’ll find a new direction in his life, a place to belong or even reach newer heights as a dancer.
He eventually found himself working at a café, doing menial jobs like cleaning. Sometimes the manager gives him the chance to be at the checkout counter or serve coffee to the customers, but at the risk of him getting into a fight with a customer or making a mess.
Initially, the reason for attending night clubs and parties was to find his friends, but he soon developed an addiction to them, relieving him from the stress of working an independent lifestyle. It has gotten to the point where he would spend late nights partying, forgetting what has happened the next morning. There was one incident where he woke up with a Rolex watch. He dismissed the fact that it could've been an item he stole from one of his night club shenanigans and decided to keep it. As time goes by since this incident, his pickpocket tendencies began to emerge. When he spots something valuable, he cannot resist the urge to take it. He has gotten arrested a couple of times and bailed out by his parents, learning to become more careful afterwards. There was one time he managed to take someone’s wallet but, he maintained the courtesy of admitting he accidentally took it. Although, there were still times where he wakes up in bed with another piece of jewellery or valuable.
During one of his usual days at the café he saw on TV, news of an alien invasion. He denied the idea of aliens being real, thinking it was just another media ploy to gain attention and views. But as time went by, he visited the night club he frequented, Sky Hall. It was taken over by aliens. It took a moment of denial and shock to accept it but as long as they're up for a party, he will party with the aliens. Excitement appeared across Trick’s face as he realised that he could become a rising star among the aliens.
EXTRAS
- Pizza is his go-to food. But anything instant is a-ok too.
- Hip-hop dances with the mop at the café sometimes, eventually dragging other workers to dance with him. The manager was amused but docked his pay anyways.
- He has a tattoo of a dragon on his left shoulder. The main reason he got it was to cover a mistake tattoo he got during one of his after-party ventures. It was a poorly tattooed smiley face.
- He has one piercing and two fake earrings on his right ear. Two piercings on his left eyebrow.
- The rainbow streak on his hair is a clip-on hair extension. It’s just for looks.
- Has terrible eye bags from long nights of partying, drinking and dancing in combination with working part-time and street dancing.
- Has developed a ‘mind over matter’ attitude with instances of pain. If he doesn’t care, it’ll hurt less. But it still hurts.
- Has a minor burn scar on his right hand from crushing a full coffee cup in front of a customer, because he was pissed off.
- He’s fit but with a small frame. He attempts to maintain a diet of cafe salads, meaty pizzas and cheap fruits with lots of water & alcohol.
- If you ask where he got his watch from, he’ll make up a new story every time and then tell you it’s “None of your business.”
- Even though he frequently goes to Sky Hall to party he will sometimes go out of the way to Acacia Town to get cheap human drinks and dance with other humans.
