LIKES
Art ● Recently found the joy of more relaxing art outside of sketching building designs and has taken to fantasy, surreal
Sleep ● Literally will sleep anywhere if given permission. If she is given an invitation to sleep on someone’s shoulder or their sofa, she’ll take it.
Night drives ● Dara thoroughly enjoys rides out in dark nights whether it is by herself or with friends. The thrill of a dark road and the view of the stars always fills her with joy. She mostly rides her motorcycle instead of driving a car.
Dancing and games ● She loves competition and games... and a way to procrastinate.
Outgoing People ● People who tend to have more energy in expressing themselves always seem to draw her in.
Cozy Atmosphere ● Anything that is comfortable or gives a relaxing atmosphere. This includes comfortable clothes, bed, or general environment. Plants and flowers have become a recent addition to what comforts her the most.
DISLIKES
Deadlines, pressure, limits ● Anything that seems to constrain the amount of time or capacity for her to do things. This mostly relates to her assignments
Finger food and heavy ● She absolutely hates eating finger foods unless given a fork or chopsticks because one too many times in the past, her projects had hot-red fingerprint marks
Coffee or sugar ● While she doesn’t hate it, she does not like the effects of the high rush of caffeine. To her, the adrenaline of living on the edge of a deadline is more than enough to power her through the day and nights.
Flashy and Impractical designs ● As a student focusing on architectural design, she is critical about designs and their practicality
Dead Objects ● This doesn’t mean just dead stuff like dry grass. It’s anything that seems to lack an organic feel to it or something that lacks the ability to give heartwarming feelings.
Expensive and useless things ● COLLEGE. TEXTBOOKS. ENOUGH SAID.
PERSONALITY
+ Benevolent, Humorous, Humble, Tactful= Reserved, Sarcastic, Thrill-Seeker- Indecisive, Workaholic, Fanatical, Self-Conscious
A washed-out woman that does her best to not appear emotionally drained for the sake of others. Dara is highly considerate of other people’s well-being no matter how exhausted she can be. While her tone is sometimes considered dead or indifferent, she displays a subtle and quirky sense of humor, whether it’d be casually speaking to people with a ridiculous outfit on or simply making a bizarre comment every now and then. Her sense of benevolence and humor gives her a sense of humility. Rather than putting herself at the top, she prefers to make a joke out of herself or make her existence to be more down-to-earth. Thus, her actions and words aren’t down out of impulse but rather with careful thought and tact.
Dara is a very calm and quiet person in general. She prefers to live life on the sidelines rather than the spotlight, though her sense of reservation can be irksome. Despite being a well-meaning person, she prefers to keep her problems to herself due to the difficulty expressing herself without coming off as too sarcastic or indifferent. Ever since she got into KBU, her manner of speak went from polite to sarcastic after going through multiple stressful all-nighters and exams. Sarcasm essentially became her way of talking in casual or playful conversations, but it can be misleading to some people. Coming from the topics of all-nighters, Dara actually loves the thrill of living on the edge. While she’ll complain about being stressed, the thrill of closing in on a deadline seemingly feeds her with dangerous vigor.
Dara has many flaws despite her quirky kindness and relaxed composure that gives off the impression that her life and priorities are all in order. As a person who is uncertain with her direction in life, Dara is extremely indecisive the smallest to largest details. Give her two options and she’ll think of the two choices and their benefits endlessly until another person finally rushes her to just pick one. This also relates to her studies and projects. With only a few hours before her presentation, she’ll make last minute changes regardless of the limited amount of time left. In addition to this, Dara is an extreme workaholic that could work endlessly on projects or drawing. She becomes enclosed in her own world that at she sometimes can’t recall if someone spoke to her or if she promised to meet them in a few hours. Her obsession with work stems from her fanatical imagination. Whether its a design for a new model or for a new art piece, her hyped state of mind ends up making her blissfully unaware of what’s happening around her and focused on a single idea. Dara is actually well aware of her one-track working habits, however, she doesn’t know how to fix this problem. This leads to her feeling inadequate with her habits and self-conscious of other aspects that she believes to be terrible, such as never keeping promises.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Dara was the only daughter to a young couple that had recently married after graduating from Kyles-Brigg University and moved to Zhuhai, China. Her parents adored her and it was through their love and attentiveness that Dara grew up with what they considered a lucky childhood. They were certain that with all the care that they gave to their baby girl, she would be the happiest child. However, the couple was young and naive. And sometimes, what a child needed was not overwhelming love, but space and imagination to grow.
Throughout her childhood, Dara was a quiet and sensitive child who preferred being alone rather than garnering for attention from her parents or other family members. The amount of attention that her parents gave was already enough, if not a little too much, but as a child, she didn’t think it was bad enough to protest against it. Despite all of the attention she received, there was always something missing in them. What they failed to provide to her was what most children relied on as they grew up; imagination, art, and creativity. Dara’s life revolved more around the realistic views of life as a result of her parents believing that early exposure to reality would allow her to succeed in life with ease. News, payments, proper greetings and so forth were taught to her as the essentials to success. Her sense of imagination was lost in time as a result and left her following the expectations of her beloved, but fussy parents. However, the feeling of losing something special always clung to her. It wasn’t until the beginning of high school and meeting her first love that her life changed.
It began with a forgotten sketchbook at the school’s rooftop garden that she had picked up. Instead of finding the school’s usual still life drawings, what she found were fantastical beings that left her with a feeling of awe and warmth. Dara spent two days looking for the person that the sketchbook belonged to in school. On the second day, a girl had rushed up to her during lunch with an embarrassed smile and asking for the sketchbook. That was how she met Ying Yue, a girl that had a beautiful smile and a passion for art. Though they had just met, Dara was eager to learn more about the girl that inspired her, and in addition, how to create something as elegant and heartwarming as her drawings. Their strong friendship branched from that and blossomed. Whenever they were not in class, the two could be found together drawing to their hearts’ content or simply enjoying each other’s company as they studied. It was by the third year of high school that Dara was almost certain that she was in love.
She had confessed at the end of graduation in hopes that her best friend would accept her feelings. To her shock, Ying Yue was planning to leave for England to study law instead of art and in the end, while Ying Yue did love her to some degree, she wasn’t sure if it was just as a friend and if she was even ready for a relationship. The rejection soundly left Dara heartbroken and once more dispassionate with life. However, Dara couldn’t blame anyone for it. It was with that sad graduation that high school ended and a new chapter in her life was opened.
Dara sulked her way to college and chose to move to Acacia Town where her parent’s university was placed in hopes of a fresh start and to break away from her home country. The first year was difficult, as she was an undeclared major and seemingly toiled around doing all the general classes. Throughout her first year, she couldn’t help but be disappointed in herself and thoroughly intimidated by making a career choice. It wasn’t until her second year at the college that she carefully considered finding a major that would let her express her creativity through art while not disappointing her parents. Art was still an important part of her life because of her first love so she settled for an architecture major; It had drawings and seemed like a good idea for the future, so it was good enough. This pushed her stay in the university by four more years.
At the age of 24, she steadily works her way through the last year of her architectural design major with the goal of finally receiving her bachelor’s in architecture. A year before, she had bought a used drawing tablet from a graduating senior on the last minute whim. That simple choice of buying a drawing tablet has introduced her into a whole new world of art and art community. With the recent appearance of the Gru, their mysterious existence have given her inspiration to draw out of the world art to share on the media as well as inspiration to develop architectural practices based off of the Gru’s. Other than her imagination, nothing has changed in her life...Until she pricked her finger on paper and out bloomed a tiny, red blossom.
