- Conspiracy theories| HE. LIVES. FOR. THEM. Seriously if you come to him with a theory you heard there’s a 90% chance that Hide has already heard of it. And a 80% chance he has already compiled a list of different theories and information to a company that.
- The Abnormal| The occult, paranormal activities, supernatural, Aliens, Cryptids. He likes anything that’s considered strange. Normal is so boring and he thinks the weird should be praised more.
- Technology| Hide is really into technological science. He’s one of those guys who likes to buy broken computers and try to make a new one.
- Junk food| He doesn’t know how to cook. And even if he did he’s too busy to even bother with it. Frequently found at the city’s closest 7 Eleven picking up hot pockets and breakfast sandwiches. Slushies are his favorite!
- Internet culture/memes| Being the millennial that he is you know this boy has a special folder for memes on his phone.
- 80’s Aesthetics| He was born in the wrong generation man, he loves 80’s cheese! Movies, fashion, cars, tech, Aliens in bike baskets, it was just a good time back then.
- Video games| What can he say? Video games are a great source of entertainment. Not only does he like to play with them he also likes to mess around with their coding. He’s made several mods for different games just for fun (Mario, Zelda, Mass Effect). They’re all free to download.
- Being right| “THEY ALL SAID I WAS CRAZY WHEN I SAID ALIENS WERE REAL BUT WHO’S LAUGHING NOW HUH?-”

- Cold Weather| You’d think coming from Michigan he’d have some tolerance of the cold but nope! He hates it and always wears his signature parka for just that reason.
- Bananas| “Of all the fruits to exist they have got to be the worst! Apples? Nice. Pineapple? Yes please. Plums? Sign me up! Bananas? DISGUSTING- not only is the mushy texture awful but the smell… god the smell-”
- People disapproving his hobbies| His mother is usually the one disapproving, stating that he’s wasting his intelligence on these little hunts of his.
- Being called Yoshi| “I hate it. It’s stupid. I mean no disrespect the green guy but it gets pretty old getting compared to him all the time y’know?-”
- Close minded people| They’re so… booooring! Like how can you not expand your horizons? Although, it is kinda fun to debate with them from time to time! As well as mess with them...
- Not knowing things| Hide hates being left in the dark. If he doesn't know something it’ll drive him nuts until he does extensive research to understand it. He literally will not sleep.

Outgoing, goofy, and full of energy! If there’s any way to describe Hideyoshi calling him an “Excitable puppy” would not be too far from the truth. One thing that is immediately noticeable about Hide is his upbeat attitude. The man always seems to be in a good mood despite of the situation calls for it or not, always talking someone’s ear off. When greeting others Hide carries himself with a smile going out of his way to learn more about the other party,he always remains friendly even if other people are not. That’s just how he operates! While he a sweet guy that does not mean he is a push over, quite the opposite in fact. Hide is a lot more intelligent than he leads himself on to be. Underneath all eccentric behavior lies an incredibly observant and witty individual. He likes to poke fun and snark people out but disguises it in an innocent manner. He’s not opposed to more philosophical conversation, in fact he loves it. He’s a bit of a mixed bag, one minute you’ll get someone asking your stance on Mothman and then next you’ll get someone discussing the meaning of life as well as our objective as humanity. He isn’t a saint either, while he likes to make people happy and enjoys the company of others he’s rather flighty. He bounces from people to people as well as causes if he thinks it’ll be fun.
Once Hide has his mind set on something it is close to impossible to get him to change his mind. He has a habit of becoming too engross on certain things and topics. So much so he becomes a bit obsessive. He hates being ignorant about things! He’s going to find out even if it kills him! It also doesn’t help that Hide can be a bit childish concerning his obsessions as well as impulsive. His impulsivity leaks it’s way into his everyday life. He’s smart but he’s also very reckless- these two halves can cause a lot of conflict with him. While he’s knowledgeable on a lot of things he’s more focused on having fun than anything else. Because of this it can cause him to ditch his common sense all together if it means getting his end goal or simple fulfillment.
BIOGRAPHY
- Born in Michigan to Helen & Haru Nakamura , a middle class Japanese-American Family. Grew up as the eldest sibling with both a younger brother (19) and sister (15).
- Attended public schooling all throughout his childhood (K-12).
- The school notices his academic achievements around 4th grade and offer him the chance to skip the following year.
- Graduates from school a year early
- Attended Michigan state majoring in computer programming. Receives diploma at age 20. Has a hard time finding work, becomes unemployed for the next year.
- At age 21 he becomes recognized for his coding ability after designing a few mods to already existing games in his free time. Well known around internet message boards.
- Gets hired to take on more projects, in exchange for his services he’d get paid varying amounts. Designing things such as layouts, websites, or just looking over existing code for touch ups.
- Opens up a side blog where he discusses the supernatural as well as the paranormal. Research papers, personal conspiracy theories, and general information on all things odd can be found here. His bizarre but energetic disposition and witty writing has garnered himself an even bigger cult following.
- Hideyoshi Nakamura decides to take a road trip in order to “Find himself” As quoted from his latest twitter post. Says he wishes to focus more on his passions.
- Now at age 24, Nakamura has recently announced his comeback into the programming community as well as his plans to continue his “Odd blog” as he likes to dub it. He has recently moved into Larkspur City and plans on giving all of his followers the biggest scoop he can about this so called “Alien Invasion!”
Even at a young age Hideyoshi had a fascination with the abnormal. The origin of his obsession began in a very innocent manner. As a young boy Hide was very close to his father. Father was your average everyday businessman who earned money to feed his family. Although he did have a few questionable hobbies. One of which being his avid documentary watching. The man loved to stay up at night watching whatever bizarre feature he could find on the TV. Ranging from crime documentaries to ones dealing with the supernatural. When Hide got older, around the age of ten- he began to take an interest in them as well. It became a way for the two males to bond with one another! Helen, Hide’s mother found the sessions between the two adorable and allowed for Hide to stay up later at night if they were in the middle of a movie.
That’s where it all began. His father would teach him a bunch lore concerning different cryptids and other mystical beings. Hide was in awe by all the stories his father would tell him. Over the summer his father would even take him and his younger brother camping in the hopes of finding bigfoot! While it was obvious their father was joking Hide still had hope that they would come across the beast!
Hide excelled in school! And his accomplishments did not go unnoticed by his teachers. The school board brought up the possible idea of Hide skipping a grade in order to better fit his academic level. His parents, wanting to give their son a challenge were onboard with the idea. Hide was as well, that means he could get out of school earlier! How cool is that? Although he didn’t really take into account the peers he would be surrounded with. It was your typical bullying situation. Hide was younger and a lot smaller than his peers which made him a prime suspect. Shoved in the hallway, name calling, insults, poking and prodding, it was just an everyday occurance for him. But he never said anything about it thinking that it was best to deal with it himself. Hide turned to internet as a form of escapism. He’d spent hours on forms, making friends, playing video games, doing whatever he could as a distraction.
Things continued on like this for a while… until a yearly check up revealed something about Haru Nakamura.
Hide was thirteen when scans showed that Haru was hosting a cancerous tumor in his brain. The news shook the entire family. The doctors did their best to explain it to them, told them all the possible treatments they could give him. This information changed the entire foundation of their family unit in more ways than one. At first they were hopeful! He would get the treatment, get better, and then they could tell their grandkids the inspirational tale. However, life had other plans for him. He continued on with the Chemotherapy given to him and while it delayed the process they eventually reached the point where death was inevitable. It took a long time but eventually the family made peace with situation as devastating as it was.
Hide was fifteen years old when his father passed away. With no one to provide for the family anymore Hide’s mother stood up as the main source of income. She worked as a receptionist for a business company in the city. She worked herself harder in order to make a name for herself. In doing so she was eventually promoted and given a raise. With her newfound position she was around the house less and less, spending less time with her family. Helen was a driven woman, and wanted to focus more on her job in the hopes of better the lives of her kids. Sadly the absence created a strain on her relationships with them. The bullying from before stopped once news spread about what happened to his father. No one wanted to mess with the kid whose dad just died- that was a new level of low. Instead of being picked on Hide just became even more isolated. Not knowing how to cope with the situation Hide again went back to the internet. He spent an unhealthy amount of time online. While it wasn’t a good way to escape his problems it did lead to a few positive outcomes. Hide began to get into the hobby of coding from his time spent on online message forms. He found himself enjoying it, he enjoyed messing around with codes to create a different layout. It was fun for him! It was around this time decided what he wanted to purse as a career. And that’s just what he did, after he graduated he decided to pursue computer programming as a major. Even after his father’s death Hide retained his love for cryptids, you could even say that his obsession heightened. Since his father was no longer with him he felt that he could connect to him when he indulged in that silly hobby of his. While his mother originally found it cute as he got older she found this part of him incredibly childish.
Not wanting a repeat of what happened in highschool Hide made it his mission to put himself out there more in his college years. He was tired of moping around and being sad, new year new me! He wanted to experience something! So he forced himself to make active conversation with his peers gaining himself some actual social skills. Eventual he became more comfortable around other people… it was actually a good distraction.
In his 20’s Hide graduated but had a hard time trying to find a stable business job so he stayed at home. His mother disapproved of this stating that it was time for him to grow up and try to find a real job, not just random ones he found online. He understood where she was coming from but at the same time her overwhelming criticism of him 24/7 was too much. It was then that he decided it was time for him to leave- not only this house but this state. He packed his bags and and hit the road one day without telling his mother a word about it. He lived on the road by himself for a few years just heading wherever the wind would take him. It was then, one night as he was performing one of his nightly radio sessions when he came across some interesting feedback. “Aliens have invaded-” No… no that couldn’t be right. There’s no way… was it? Hide took action, making a thorough investigation trying to find where the source was located. He had spent years fantasising about the idea of aliens as well as other phenomenons. He never thought he would be alive to see this day come! Without any hesitation Hide jumped into action, starting up his car and heading straight for the origin of it all- Prinity County.

- I kid you not his apartment is covered wall to wall with newspaper clippings and photographs. As well scatter notes relating to the topic. His entire apartment is a conspiracy board red yarn and markers included!
- Since the development of his powers he no longer needs his glasses to see. However, his face feels “naked” without them. He has a hard time parting with them so he just took out the prescription lens. They are useless now.
- Ever since he’s got to this city he’s been craving more meat based products… weird.
- He spends a lot of his weekends on the country roads trying to find supernatural/paranormal endeavors. If this place can draw aliens then surely it can draw out goat man right? Weird is attracted to weird.
- Has a German Shepard named Spyro who he adores! He always has him tag along on his little country road adventures.
- While his main focus is real world theories you better believe he has elaborate theories on his favorite shows, video games, and movies.
